Good to Know
This mandelic acid serum contains alpha hydroxy acid that can increase your skin’s sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn, which is why it would serve more appropriate as part of your night time routine. It is recommended to start slow (about once a week) and gradually build up tolerance before increasing the usage, and to limit sun exposure when using this product for at least one week after initial use.
The first few uses may also cause slight facial redness, mild burning/warming or occasional stinging/tingling sensation on or around the site of application, but these should diminish after several uses as directed. Avoid mixing mandelic acid with products containing retinol, benzoyl peroxide and various chemical or physical exfoliants at the same time to lessen the risk of developing an irritation.
Cautions
Do not use it on peeling, compromised or broken skin. Avoid contact with eyes.
Always do a patch test first. If irritation occurs during use, especially after prolonged or repeated use, stop use immediately and consult a doctor.
Store in a cool place.
